A Morning Wandering
Hosted by the Southwest Ohio Council of Ohio Illuman*
*This Illuman event will happen rain or shine. 🌦
Take some time to greet and appreciate the beauty and abundance of nature by joining our Southwest Ohio Illuman Wandering. The heart of the experience is a solo walking trip into forests, along the waterways, and across the fields of one of Ohio's most beautiful state parks.
Hello Tree is a phrase you might use as you really look to see the towering forest dweller in front of you. You will be invited to pause, to listen, to touch, to be one with all that you encounter. You might also find yourself saying hello blade of grass, or hello beetle with metallic wings, or hello flowing stream of rippling water.
We will start our day with a bit of poetry to frame the invitation of the experience. Then we will wander. Taking the time to be in creation is life-giving, calming, inspirational, and instructive. We will immerse ourselves in the natural beauty of Caesar Creek State Park, and the world.

Autumn Wandering
Wandering is the practice of finding solitude in nature in order to create a time of connection with one's Self and with God. We gather together in circle, set intentions, and then individually choose a path in the wilderness for a day of reflection.
At the end of the day, we return to our circle and share our insights and experiences with each other in a time of gratitude and encouragement.
