Our 2024 Wandering
Come join the men of Ohio Illuman for a wandering at Caesar Creek State Park... Our world is filled with color. On this year’s wandering, we will pay special attention to the vibrant and the subtle colors of the woods and fields, the birds and the beetles, the sky and the earth. Travel with us this late spring day as we wander along the creek, hike along the lake, and step through the fields and forests of this beautiful park.
The heart of this experience is a solo walking trip into forests, along the waterways, and across the fields of one of Ohio's most beautiful state parks. We will start our day with a bit of poetry to frame the invitation of the experience. Then we will wander. Taking the time to be in creation is life-giving, calming, inspirational, and instructive. We will immerse ourselves in the natural beauty of Caesar Creek State Park, and the world.
Don’t forget to bring a chair and to pack a lunch for our circle following the wandering!
Date/Time: June 15, 2024, 9 a.m. until 2:00 p.m.
Location: Flat Fork Ridge Parking Area at Caesar Creek State Park

Caesar’s Creek State Park
Located between Columbus, Cincinnati and Dayton, Caesar’s Creek offers a great variety of natural settings and activities including forest hiking, waterfall misting, flower gazing, bird watching, insect peering, creak strolling, and fossil finding.
Our starting spot is strategically located in a shaded picnic area next to flush toilets along the banks of Caesar Creek Lake, and is handicapped accessible. There is a variety of terrain and pathways, from the gentle to the challenging.
We will gather at 9 a.m. to have a brief check in, share our guiding poem, and then begin our solo, three-hour wandering. We will re-gather once again in the safety of the great outdoors for discussion and a bring-your-own-lunch, concluding about 2:00 p.m. It may be helpful to bring your own lawn chair to sit on during the opening and closing portions of the day.
Contact Tom Sparough with questions and to RSVP at Tom@SpacePainter.com or call 513-602-0948. All questions are welcome.
