Stepping Forward Together: Ohio Illuman’s Vision for the Future
Over the past decade, Ohio Illuman has grown into a committed circle of men seeking depth, purpose, and sacred connection. As we continue this journey together, we also face the practical realities of maintaining a healthy organization—especially when many of us are drawn here for inner work, not administrative tasks.
At our recent board meeting, we unanimously voted to accept Illuman, Inc.’s offer to manage key operational functions for our chapter. This means that in the months ahead, Illuman will begin hosting our website and domain, managing our newsletter and contact list, processing donations, and supporting event registration. This step allows Ohio Illuman to focus more deeply on what matters most: cultivating transformative spiritual spaces through ritual, council, and brotherhood.
We also discussed the importance of strengthening leadership and long-term sustainability. Our current officers have generously served beyond their original terms, and now it’s time to invite new voices. Brian Mueller will step down as treasurer at the end of 2025, and we are actively seeking new board officers and a future Convener to carry the work forward. Inspired by other Illuman chapters, we are adopting a “Convener Rotation Model” to ensure mentorship and smoother transitions over time
Looking ahead, we hope to craft a clear mission statement—one that reflects the soul of our chapter—and we want your input. And we’re excited to form an Elder/Program Council of seasoned, initiated men to offer wisdom and continuity in both programming and leadership.
These changes may be structural, but they’re deeply spiritual at heart. They reflect our trust in the movement of Spirit and our shared belief that when we each bring our gifts, the whole body is strengthened. We invite every man in our circle to step in—through service, ritual, or simply showing up with presence—as we build the next chapter of Ohio Illuman, together.
