Choosing Presence

(8-Week Virtual Workshop)

How to Access God's Peace and Release Fear, Anxiety, and Stress

Sponsored by The Ohio Chapter of Illuman

Saturdays 2pm - 4pm Eastern Time
March 5 thru April 23, 2022

Note:

*Regular attendance at our weekly workshop gathering is preferred but not required. Please do not let the fact that you may not be able to attend all eight sessions prevent your participation. We will be recording our program sessions each week and then posting them for those who could not be present. Our breakout councils will not be recorded so that the men present can gather in confidence and share freely.

BROTHERS,

We're excited to announce an 8-week workshop beginning on Saturday, March 5, 2022 (thru April 23, 2022). We'll meet for two hours every Saturday to practice presence and learn together how we may more often experience peace and God's spiritual presence in our lives.

The format for this retreat will closely resemble our September 2021 Wild and Wise Workshop. We will gather weekly on Zoom for two hours. During that time we'll have a short program going into some more depth on one of the eight chapters in the Choosing Presence book. Then we'll break into smaller council groups with prompts for men to discuss their experience of practicing presence.

There is no obligation for men who register to participate in all eight sessions. We do ask that you join us as often as possible. One of the benefits of our workshops is the ability to meet multiple times with the same men in small council. This allows men to get to know and trust each other more deeply, and therefore the depth of sharing and spirituality increases.

Choosing Presence will be led by Charlie Myking and Brian Mueller. We are hoping to co-host our workshop with our neighbors from Illuman of Pennsylvania. This retreat will also include participation with Choosing Presence author Jim Heaney and Illuman Weaver Jim Taylor.

Registration is open (see link below). The suggested price for this workshop will be $80, yet please know you can always choose to pay what you can afford (register for as little as $1). All registrants will receive a copy of the book mailed to them. For those outside of the United States, we welcome your participation but will be emailing you a PDF of the book instead of a printed copy.

You can get a head start on practicing presence by visiting ChoosingPresence.org.
