You are invited to a 2-hour virtual council on the subject of Transforming Racial Pain in America. This council event is hosted by Ohio Illuman but is open to all men on a spiritual journey, wherever you may call home. The council will be led by Mick Owens and Bob Farmerie.
This council is a continuation of the journey we began a year ago following the death of George Floyd and the emergence of Black Lives Matter protests nationwide. During this year of pandemic and widespread upheaval, many of us have awakened or perhaps reawakened to the ongoing struggle for racial justice and equity.
In July of 2020, we invited Byron McMillan and Dr. Bill Clark to lead us in a retreat called Reckoning With Our Past so that we could begin the process of understanding the depth and the history of the racial wounds we all bear, and how we’re all complicit in continuing to transmit these wounds through our actions, whether conscious or unconscious.
We hope you will consider joining us as we continue on the Journey of Illumination. Our council will incorporate additional content as well as discussion surrounding the racial history of our country. Please also urge the men in your community to consider joining us. Your participation matters!
